If you don’t want to wait for a drop or for your Bag Security Program bags, read this. Let’s unpack how to spot fakes. **They NEVER come with cards or an envelope**

1. Watch out for Colors and color names that aren’t TELFAR colorways. This bag in the first 2 photos are real and are the correct color. The third photo has a couple of issues but first, that’s not a color TELFAR has released. It is CLOSE to TELFAR’s oxblood color. The material is also off and too dark and shiny

2. Extra flimsy material. Just like the fake above, quite a few conterfeits have this flimsy, wrinkled looking plastic like material that doesn’t stand up to TELFAR’s vegan leather. Especially if it is a “small” or “medium,” a new bag wouldn’t rumple like this.

NOTE: the Large and Medium bags do show more flexibility. So this amount shown below is normal. This is an authentic Double Mint Medium TELFAR Shopper. But you wouldn’t see a Small or Medium doing this off the bat. They’re usually more structured and

3. This is an example of a real bag (Eggplant Medium) , the square edges on TELFAR bags are very defined and well-stitched. Since the small bags are tiny, this gives them a pretty firm square structure. If you see a small bag with round looking corners it’s probably fake. (The left looks suspicious.) the plastic bag should be Zip Lock and have the scan tag at the bottom corner. It may have the TC logo or Both logo and ‘TELFAR EST. 2005, NYC’ on the middle of the plastic bag.

Also, all TELFAR Shoppers come folded flat, w/ a crease in the back panel. The first and last bag is fake, the others are examples of real bags. If you don’t see one, that’s a red flag. (First two photos show flat packing style and the telltale crease, third photo is missing any sign of the crease [fake!]) They may come with the white strap to hold them together but sometimes not

TELFAR Shoppers are sent from the company with this nice defined S curl binding the handles. Of course someone could be selling a brand new bag they took the binding off of, but if the handles ARE bound in a small wrap all willy nilly… 🚩🚩🚩 The first 2 are REAL and last 1 is FAKE

4. Poor logos. This one can be a toughie if you haven’t spent a million hours looking at TELFAR bags lol. But fake bags often have logos that look too skinny, too thick, or look too large for the bag/have weird placement. The first two look off. The last two are genuine.

5. stitching. Resellers rarely post photos of the corners of the bags but if you DO come across any that don’t have that 45 degree angle corner stitch, don’t buy it. Also the stitching throughout the bag shouldn’t look super tight like it’s squeezing the bag In different areas.

These are some benchmarks you’ll find on every authentic bag. if the bag doesn’t have this, you KNOW it’s fake.
